Can anyone tell me how many months a Thai passport holder needs on their passport to re’enter Thailand?My son 

is dual national so has two passports one British and one Thai.He will be leaving next month with 8months left on his passport and will 

come back with 5 months left on his Thai passport.Asking on this forum as I cannot get a straight answer from any official sources in Thailand.

Thai citizens can enter Thailand on an expired passport so OP son can enter on Thai passport with 5 months left with no problem.

    True, but some countries will not allow you to exit unless you have an indate passport, Japan is one.

    Only if a person is on a visa and etc that is tied to their passport.

    In the OP's case his son is a citizen of the UK so he only needs that passport to be valid.
