GuyFawkes
Having bought the mower I am not sure as to which engine oil to use. The booklet says SAE 30/10W30 or 40. But the later on says that SAE30 may cause hard starts. It also says that using 10W30 may cause the excessive use of engine oil. Can anyone advise please. stouricks
Got exactly the same one. The 30 refers to the viscosity of the oil in COLD WEATHER situations. So makes little difference over here. If it uses say 100ml (1/10th of a litre) each time, @ Bht 140 per litre.......
OneeyedJohn
Briggs and Stratton 500E sounds like a very powerful BB gun.????
VocalNeal
I believe Briggs and Stratton now recommends 5W/30 fully synthetic. So Castrol Edge or Mobil1 or, or. You don't need much so cost is not really a factor. The W rating is irrelevant for Thailand as we don't really have a Winter.
