Jomtien Immigration

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what is the earliest date to apply for Retirement Extension in Jomtien IO? I generally apply 3 to 4 weeks before it is due, but this year I plan a three-week trip up north which means I would have to apply about five and a half weeks early (40 days to be precise). Would Jomtien IO consider such an early application? I prefer not to leave it until my return from Chiang Rai in case some unforeseen event delays my return.

Thanks for your comments and advice.

They may, you will only know by trying.

There is no guarantee at all that the experience from one, even many, will automatically apply to yourself.

This of course for any kind of experiences ( good and bad ones ).

I go to Jomtien, pretty sure it is a maximum of one month before, 30 days.

It is 30 days.

But, you can try and go in and explain maybe worth a shot.

If you're doing it by the "800,000 Baht in the bank" method, make sure the money was there 2 months before the date you apply, not 2 months before your current extension expires.

In the past, using the late lamented income letter from the Brit Embassy, I have renewed my retirement extension at Jomtien 35 (2015)  and 32 (2017) days ahead of the expiry date. Both with no comment from the IO. Just my experience and, as posted above, YMMV
