My experience at CW and temperary visa Centre on 21 July 2020

I went to CW to renew my entry to stay stamp for further 12 months, using the income method. Bangkok bank provided the confirmation letter for me as account holder, and a bank statement dated 17 July for 12 months. 

I signed in at 7am and obtained a queue number 69. At 815am, the doors opened and I was given L zone ticket 1 19. 

I was seen within 30 minutes by an IO, who did not speak to me at all, but to my wife in Thai. The IO required site and certified copy of my yellow book, also the bank books and copies duly certified, which I had prepared. Also required was a map of the location of our condo. 

The IO then went through every page of the bank statement, identifying and marking all FTT transactions, 3 each month, averaging 110k. The only extra copies required were two bank book first pages, and the last page of current bank book showing the deposit and withdrawal transactions on 21 July. My wife got the pages copied, and I gave the IO 1900 baht fee.

We waited until 1030am, when I signed for my passport, with 12 months stamp. 

I also had a 90 day reporting issue, sent by mail on 16 May but no receipt received. For this I had to go to temporary visa centre, arriving at 1pm. A new Tm47 written out and queue number A407 issued. Waited an hour and into see IO who spoke perfect English. The lady looked at my file, saw a copy receipt already there to be printed off. No TM 47 required, and with new receipt clipped into passport, out under 5 minutes. 

I was impressed at both locations with the seating/waiting arrangements, excellent for social distancing. 

A good experience at both locations.
