According to Vietnamese state-run media VNA, the meeting was held at Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province. Koy Pisey, vice chairwoman of the CBAC, who attended the meeting, told Khmer Times yesterday that the meeting followed a land border demarcation protocol signed on October 5 last year during the visit of Prime Minister Hun Sen to Hanoi.

During the visit, Mr Hun Sen and his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc ratified 84 percent of border demarcation work completed between the Cambodia and Vietnam. A joint statement released at that time considered the move as a “historic milestone” in the process of land border settlements between both nations.
