Thai business people and residents allowed to return to Japan

The Thai ambassador in Tokyo Singthong Lapphisetphan said that the Japanese authorities have eased restrictions on certain categories of business people and residents entering Japan.

Those eligible are under short term stay for business, people working in Japan in certain categories and long term residents with families and relationships.

The Thai government is in negotiation with the Japanese over other categories.

People such as Thai business managers, engineers,  nurses, skilled workers and start-up personnel can return.

Sanook said that residents with families could go back as of August 5th.

I really do hope some Thai Government & Tourist executives are taking note as this is exactly what they want & look at the figures for Japan over the past couple of days - over 1000 infected .......!!!!!

Seems sensible, but they did delay it for quite a while. I hope Japan has their test & trace system armed and ready.
