CNX69
I made compost tea brewer and yes air pump is very loud. My recipe = 1 cup organic compost + 1/2 cup worm castings + 1 thai spoonful UnSulfured black molasses + 1 thai spoonful dried seaweed + rainwater (3/4 bucket) + 24 hour brewing time. I am still looking for a best Thai recipe.

Have you produced the compost and castings yourself?

I built a foam padded shelf to mount them on in the hopes of quieting them down but even that was insufficient. In the end, I found that hanging them on a string from the handle works very well in quieting them.
Grumpy John
Why not use an aquarium pump in the bucket? If your only pumping in air it would serve quite well.
IsaanAussie
Aeration is needed but agitation also. You need volume. Just now, Grumpy John said: Why not use an aquarium pump in the bucket?
CNX69
I have my own compost but I bought castings at the market. My growing results are still not very impressive
