rooster59 Posted August 22, 2020 Share Posted August 22, 2020 Chinese man arrested with lots of non-tax paid cigarettes and spirits in his living room Image: Daily News Thailand's immigration police and excise officials announced Friday that they arrested a Chinese national by the name of Yuanlin at a house in the Atoll Java Bay housing estate in Samut Prakan. Armed with a search warrant the authorities found 770 cartons of Chinese cigarettes and 18 bottles of Chinese spirits with the name Nei Bu Zhuan Gong. It was all in his living room. Also found were 540 empty bottles and labels and packaging equipment. It appeared he was rebottling Chinese liquor and repackaging Chinese cigarettes to avoid tax. He was charged with various excise offences including avoiding the paying of duty.
