The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported a new case in state quarantine over a 24-hour period on Saturday (August 29), the 96th day without any domestic cases in Thailand since May.

The new patient had returned from the Netherlands.

The total number of confirmed cases in Thailand stood at 3,411 (474 in state quarantine), of whom 111 are in hospital and 3,242 have recovered and been discharged. The death toll remains unchanged at 58.

As of 10am (Thai time), the total number of confirmed cases globally rose to 24.9 million. Of them, 17.29 million have recovered, while over 841,000 have died so far.

Thailand ranks 121st for most cases in the world, while the US has the most number with 6.09 million, followed by Brazil 3.81 million, India 3.46 million, Russia 980,405 and Peru 629,961.

I can't recall the last day I didn't read of at least one new case discovered in quarantine. Sure does add up to a lot, eh? I wonder what the total of active cases of infection are in Thai quarantine?
