fondue zoo
The current AIS Playbox is somewhat ordinary when it comes to functionality. Has anyone here replaced it outright with a third party device and then reloaded the AIS app, or have you just run it side by side with a better box? Pib
No can do....the AIS Playbox is married to the AIS TV servers via serial number....and the Playbox is blocked from installing other app....AIS neutered the Playbox a couple of years ago to only allow apps that AIS push the the box. Yes, I know they have the AIS app for smartphones/tablets but that app is programmed to work with such devices....the wife and I have that app on our smartphones. You just need to run a separate box for your other stuff you want to stream....other apps you want to install/use.
fondue zoo
Thanks, I have a spare laptop so I'll consider a Chromecast stick too.
DPGumbypgh
I use the AIS app from the google Play store on a minix android box without any problems. You have to use your AIS internet no to register it or can use a thai phone number and they will send a sms code to you that you enter on the boxes app. Edited September 6, 2020 by DPGumbypgh
