Non-O 60 days extension problem

Featured Replies

I currently have Non-O multi based on being father of a thai child.

Went to immigration with my partner and baby with all the documents for 60 days extension and the IO wants to see a marriage certificate.

Is marriage certificate needed for an extension based on being parent of a thai child?

And how long does it usually take to obtain a marriage certificate?

A marriage certificate is not required to apply for a 60 day extension to visit you child.

Only their birth certificate and a copy of their house book registry is needed (and ID card if the have one). And they must be with you when you apply.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I thought but the IO is requesting it.

My wife told the IO it's for 60 days extension but she still needs to see it.

She was rude and my wife doesn't want to go back to ask the IO lady.

I'm not sure what to do now. Any suggestion?
