Featured Replies

Found this snake on a bike ride by my house, I live in a large water management area,  South Eastern Rayong,  only about a meter long but quite thick

Looks like a Bocourt's Water snake, rear fanged, venom not

dangerous to humans, but if handled can give a nasty bite,

stays mostly in water where it eats fish, frogs.

Have seen a lot of snakes in my area but never one of these before, we have about 3800 rai of wetlands behind where I live and ride my bike through the area almost everday, I think a fisherman might have caught this snake and maybe it swolled the hook and that is why it died, no trauma on it at all, only been dead for a short while, thanks for the info
