if "retirement visa" expires while stuck outside of Thailand

Featured Replies

I raised this question before in another thread and apologize if I missed a response, but now I'm raising it in a new thread.

If a Non-Immigrant Extension of Stay based on retirement, along with a corresponding Re-Entry Permit, expires while the holder is "stuck" outside of Thailand due to travel restrictions, does anyone know of any recourse, short of starting from scratch with a new visa, when one is finally able to return? I would think any number of people would find themselves in this situation. My expiration date is in mid-November, and I can't see any chance of returning to Thailand before then.

Thank you in advance for any helpful information.

Your question has been asked and answered more than once already on this forum.

You will have to start all over again by getting a new non-o visa and then applying for a new extension.

Yup, this is why just posted a question about the absolute last day I can extend my current Non-O VISA because I'm too old and tired to go through that <deleted> again...

That's disappointing. Thank you.
