Last week in the Consular team #7

Recommended Posts

As usual, here are some updates from the Consular team about our work last week.

The team provided 23 notarial services, visited British Nationals in 3 prisons, dealt with 16 urgent cases, deployed to Suvarhabhumi airport for an arrest, met one of Bangkok’s international schools to explain processes for repatriation when British nationals die in Thailand and issued approximately 460 letters to support visa extension applications.

In addition to that some of you may have already seen the Vlog about a visit to the One Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC) for survivors of rape and sexual assault at the Police General Hospital. If you have not, you can check it out here

On the Prevention side, the team participated in a workshop hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Department of Land Transport to discuss ways to help reduce road traffic accidents in the country, especially those involving foreign nationals. This is a long-term project for us.
