Home study allowed from Thai universities because of Covid ? Can you confirm ?

Featured Replies

hello,

Some kids are saying that they can now study from home, no need to go to university in another province anymore, can you confirm that it really happens ?

And do you know if it's for the whole year ?

Thank you.

our daughter was sent home several months ago from her uni and was doing her online course every day as required(studying to be a doctor) and did her testing ay a local uni but she is now at the hospital to do her third year.

My son goes to Bangkok University (international campus out at Rangsit) and has been doing most of his lectures and work on-line. He goes to the campus maybe once a fortnight.

in this respect at least, Thai Universities are well ahead of UK ones, who are still trying to get their Online teaching in place. well done them.  Now all they need to do is sort out the sorry state of the quality of that teaching at many of those universities that are little more than average 'colleges of further education', rather than establishments of higher learning.

But this probably needs checking at the specific uni you're referring to.

My son studies Finance at Mahidol. Latest news was online classes this trimester and next. The 3rd trimester is to be advised. He is home doing his classes.

The UK Open University has been mostly teaching online for the last 50 years.
