I thought I'd mention on here about H2O2 as an alternative to Chlorine in a pool. I have posted on the Pattaya forum, same title, so go there if you don't like Chlorine and want to know more - don't want to duplicate posts.

There's a number of options to disinfecting/sanitising swimming pools - chlorine, salt water, bromine, ozone etc. Whatever you choose should be based on use of the pool (how busy it is, indoor or outdoor, shaded or in full sun etc) and the cost and availability of agents.

i am using H²O² but one still has to shock the pool with Chlorine at least once a month (twice to be on the safe side) as not all bacteria are killed by Hydrogen Peroxide.
