Buying parrots

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm interested in buying baby parrots and or parrot eggs. Is there anyone who can give me a legit shop or aviary who can supply me with birds? I really love birds so much.

Where are you located? Most pet shops sell parrots and baby parrots.

If you are in Chiang Mai the pet shops in the flower / plant market usually sell them...

If you are in Bangkok..the massive JJ market always have them.

Or you can get a Thai friend to do a search for anyone selling them on the internet.

Have you kept parrots before? I keep many species of birds...but no parrots as I can't stand them as pets.  They are noisy, messy, destructive, and prone to plucking out their own feather if they go mad from too much time alone and not enough attention. They can also be really aggressive to anyone that is not their owner.

If you are in Bangkok give Sanam Laung 2 market a look.  Usually has baby parrots and is pretty good in my opinion.

Right now, there are literally hundreds of baby parrots for sale in Chatuchak Market.

My daughter in law breeds parrots, she lives at Klong 4. Are these what one would class as parrots as they look more like budgies to me.
