Covid Affidavit Extensions to be valid on Date Of Application

Featured Replies

So, unlike before where they would stamp your new permission to stay beginning from the day after your current one expired, they have now returned to the previous method of counting from the date you file your application.

Maybe they don't expect(or don't care) to get slammed with a few thousand of us in the queue on 30-Nov?

This is consistent with a report from Phuket here from 11/11. So it looks like 60 days from date of application if you are applying on the basis of an affidavit. Anyone else who managed to get 60 days from Nov 30, please let us know here.

Does this apply regardless of whether or not you have an embassy letter?

Very strange inconsistency considering people have been stamped until 30/11, so surely a new visa would begin after that date.

You mean they gave you the actual extension right away, not an under consideration stamp first? If so, that sounds very unusual.

Yes stamp until jan 29

Has anyone managed to get a second letter from UK embassy? I requested one 3 days ago, but have not had a reply as yet.

Do they give the affidavit option to everyone at MTT? (im on VE)
