I know the short answer is "no".

But I'm in negotiations with a very legitimate, legal and properly managed (but relatively new to Thailand) language institute. They are confidently telling me that they keep foreign staff on TV through probation. Then they switch to non-b and work permit after probation. Their lawyer insists it's legal (somehow) to pay me during probation while I'm still with a TV.

Does this seem in any way possible?
