Ocean World Vs. Underwater World (pattaya)

Featured Replies

I am looking for feedback on Ocean World at Siam Paragon and Underwater World in Pattaya.

Which one is better, and why.

I think that the one in Pattaya is 360 baht and the one in paragon is 450.

Ocean World's website says that have shark feeding and Penquin feeding to watch, though the times are right next to each other (can you see both?).

I can't find Underwater World's website so if someone knows it please post!

thanks.

Don't know the phone number, but I do knwo that the one in Pattaya will give you a Thai price with a driving licence. Paragon don't. Also, I was going to take our girls to the paragon one last sunday, the queues were horrendous. seeming there is a feed the mermaid or something daft like that going on at the moment. I prefer the smaller ones, Rayong or Ban San or cape Panwa cost about 10 baht entry and virtually the same except a much smaller gift shop :o

I have been to both within the last 6 months. I don't remember the prices but both seemed not cheap but worth the money. Ocean World in Bangkok to me is better, more things to see, quite a bit bigger and more "atmosphere". Underwater world in Pattaya has a longer under water plexiglass tube that you walk though - it is a big loop. But other than the long tube it doesn't have alot more. Both are still worth doing. If you happen to do Underwater world in Pattaya, consider also doing the go cart track which is not to far (and alot of fun) and the outlet mall which is also on the way (shopping in Bangkok is alot better though).

If you do not have a car, you had better hire a baht bus to accompany you or you will have trouble getting back.

I've been to some very nice Aquariums. Usually a serene, relaxing, escape from the outside hustle bustle world.

The one at Ocean World is pretty nice except for the noise.

Gangs of school kids screaming, Aquarium guides yelling into the microphones/PA systems explaining the exihibts and the inconsiderate, pushy people, blocking the views of the tanks.(probably the same clueless people that block the skytrain door when I'm trying to disembark I'm guessing)

Pretty fish, nice displays but a tranquil environment, it is not.
