What is needed for 60 day Covid extension of a Tourist Visa application?

Featured Replies

Some questions for those who haven't done this before:

1) Assuming the 60 day extension due to Covid is back, is there anything prohibiting newer arrivals on a single entry tourist visa from applying?  As in I arrived on a single entry tourist visa in December and the 60 days is done in about 10 days.  I searched and I'm guessing the posts on what to do are buried in posts almost a year old at this point.

2) What documents should be prepared in advance?  Is it just the 30 day renewal list, plus the affidavit for Covid?

3) Is the only difference in what you enter on the TM7, the numbers of days requested? Or do people reference Covid in the "Reasons of Extension" as well as maybe saying long holiday as well.

30 day extension list per the Immigration website:

Documents to be submitted

  1. Application form TM.7 (application must be made in person)
  2. Copy of applicant’s passport
  3. Photo 4 x 6 cm. (not older than 6 months)
  4. Application fee 1,900 Baht.

Copies of passport photo page, visa if any, entry stamp, existing extension if any, and TM6 departure card.

Affidavit stating the reason for needing the covid 19 extension (immigration will give it to you).

A TM30 report if not done already.
