BANGKOK (NNT) - The Minister of Labor has expressed satisfaction over the near 8 million Article 33 social security members, who have applied for the government’s aid program, accounting for up to 90 percent of all eligible citizens.

 

Minister of Labor Suchat Chomklin, has indicated that since registration at ม33เรารักกัน.com was opened on February 21, a total 7,909,258 people have applied to take part in the program, over 90 percent of all eligible individuals.

 

Those able to take advantage of the aid measure must come under Article 33 of the social security code, be a Thai citizen, not hold a state welfare card, not be eligible for the Rao Chana program and not have a total of 500,000 baht in savings as of December 31, 2020. Such individuals can apply for assistance until March 7.

 

Applicants can check the status of their request between March 8 and 14 on the website and must verify their participation between March 15 and 21 to begin receiving payouts into the Pao Tang application. Four payments of 1,000 baht each will be issued on March 22 and 29 and April 5 and 12. The cash can be used from March 22 to May 31.

 

Those not accepted after initially applying can request a reconsideration of their status between March 15 and 28 at the website or call the Labor Ministry hotline 1506 ext 1.
