US ambassador vows stronger ties with Thailand
Key word is COURTESY CALL. It was not a diplomatic meeting where affairs of state were discussed, An Ambassador presents his/her credentials to the host foreign office. Usually, if the Ambassador is important it is to the head of state (e.g. King, or President). Protocol is very important in foreign affairs and Thais are sticklers for protocol. There is a hierarchy and a pecking order. -

Australian Aged Pension
At one point, not so long ago, I counted that your last 20 consecutive posts were nothing on topic, and were all just personal attacks, trolling, flaming, baiting etc of me. I gave up counting after 20 posts. I did post about it at the time. There was no new content from you. No discussion. No links etc. Nothing. It seems that you are starving yourself of more oxygen than me. Keep up the good work. -

US ambassador vows stronger ties with Thailand
The meeting depends on the nature of the event. If the Ambassador is presenting a direct message from his PM, then the host PM may meet the Ambassador to accept the specific message. As I stated, it is not usual practice for a foreign Ambassador to meet with the host government PM. If that was the case, the PM would not have time for other more important activities. -

Paying voluntary National Insurance contributions - ridiculous processing time
Seems to be hit and miss with DWP. Some people - like me - have no problems whatsoever; others - like you - experience problems and delays. Luck of the draw, I guess🤷 -

Poll: Predict the outcome of the U.S. presidential election (electoral college and after)
The polling data suggests that voter sentiment in some swing states (PA, AZ) is now back to Trump. 3 weeks to go. Still anyone's election. -

Thai High-Risk Groups Urged to Get Covid-19 Boosters
I've had 3 Covid shots (regret getting the 3rd as unnescessary for travel and was Mrna). My mother, now age 86 years, in the UK, has had 8 Covid shots and contemplating getting the 9th shot as they are pushing it on her. OMG! I'm surprised that @TallGuyJohninBKK hasn't commented yet. He loves everything Covid. -

Please do not equate Trump to Jesus Christ. The statement is offensive to Christians. You obviously have not studied the teachings of the Christian faith. Have some respect for others please. -

Police Officer Cries Over Injured Son Following Car Accident: Sisaket
Not a moaner. The incident highlights the disregard for safety, even by people who have the responsibility for supporting it. The child was thrown from the vehicle and suffered a serious head trauma. Had the child been in a properly attached car seat, this injury most likely would have been prevented. I expect that the mother was holding the child in her arms, when the collision occurred. If that moan causes anyone in here to reconsider transporting children without a proper car seat, then the moan will have achieved a positive result. If more people moaned to heighten awareness, we would not see these sob stories of parents crying over injuries their children have sustained, injuries due in large part to the decisions of the parents. -

Are You A Sexpat Or Do You Ride The Backwards Morality Train?
When I was young, like pre-teens.... I very much enjoyed my time in therepy. Those were the days! Strictly Freudian Psychotherapy, and nothing else.... I have been...ON THE COUCH....probably....longer than you have been alive....(Me and JingThing) JingThing was tied up by his father, as he told the story, in one of his earlier comments. But, I, I always wanted to have sex with my mother, and still do....even though she is now dead....which would, so much compound my offensiveness, into the realm of .... NECROPHILIA...I guess... Freud is one of my favorite philosophers.....though he is not a scientist, by any means. Sleeping with one's mother, IMHO, is not so icky as it might seem.... Once you really get into it....- 1

Australian non tax resident- non-financial issues.
Also, as a non-resident for tax for 9 years my Medicare card expired. I renewed it while non-resident without any issue. I didn't use medicare card though as didn't want want to jeopardise non-resident status for a $35 GP rebate. It was nice to have if ever needed in an emergency though.
