Drive-a-drunk Service In Bangkok Launched

Drive-a-drunk service in Bangkok launched

Poh Tech Tung Foundation is running a drive-a-drunk service in Bangkok since a few months, according to Thai news reports.

If you are drunk and can't drive your car, just call them and they will send two guys, one driving your car and the other guy follow.

The service is free of charge. Area: Bangkok Metropolitan area only.

0-2226-4444 is the number.

Why do they need a second guy to follow?

And if you are a woman do they have woman drivers to drive you?

Why do they need a second guy to follow?

My guess would be to drive the other guy back, but who knows here :D:o .

DOH! Yeah of course that's right, wasn't thinking! :o

I can't believe it will be FOC. You could just get them out and claim you are so drunk you can't remember where you left the car "but it's okay I'll come back tomorrow with a friend and find it". Then it's a free taxi service.

What about insurance cover if their driver has a prang on the way home?

Assumming of course that the drunk person is coherent sufficiently to advise his location !

I also don't see how they will continue to run this FOC in the long term.
