Guest StephenB
From what I understand the test is done at the Goverment hospital in Surin, but when wife called was told I (furong) needed to get it done at the private hospital in Surin, Ruamphat. So wife called Ruamphat hospital and was asked when I fly and so it is setup now that I go to get tested at 8AM , then get the results next day, and on the third day I fly out. Please do tell if your situation is the same.
Guest StephenB
update Went to Surin Ruamphat hospital at 8AM yesterday, typical suprise- 'no testing here' (wife called and set everything up earlier), so ended up traveling to Korat to the big hospital there. Outside they had a huge tent set up with 300+ people in que. The guy there who seemd to be in charge knew what I needed suggested I come back tomorrow. Headed back there today via train to get in the que early in the morning. If this fails, I'll be headed to BKK early for rapid test so I can make my flight with paper in hand. Lots and lots traveling, and large groups of people to see if I have Covid. Hope this info is of use to others in the Surin area.
