do what i do, take your dvd with you to the store and ask them to stick it in a player.

i stick with pioneer players, as quoted above they will play pal & ntsc movies and are region free.

i have 3 pioneer players in the house, and never had them not play anything, including dvds from dubious sources.

a decent pioneer player only is about 3000 baht.

you can also buy pioneer 5:1 surround sound systems with built in amp ( no need to hook it up to your stereo) for about 10,000 baht.

the last ones i looked at would also play from flash drives.

Just like the water going down the plug, Australian DVDs rotate in the opposite direction to those from the Northen hemisphere. You can play them on a 'northern' player, just put them in silver side up :o:D

Yes, they'll play just fine :D

crossy, that problem has been overcome, if you take the player to the pantip plaza, they will chip it for you, this reverses the polarity and makes the mechanism spin in an anti clockwise direction, also works for mesecam and secam as well.
