Heh,

Im really hopin someone out there can help because my non im B is up on monday and Im going to Laos to get a holiday visa in the embassy there. Should I be first worried about cancelling my non im B in immigration here in bangkok? I never had a work permit hence Im not sure if I need to do that. Will they be ok to just stamp me out on the Laos border and also will the embassy staff give me the holiday visa or will they be questioning the former non imm B just expired? Any advice especially from experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You don’t need to cancel anything. Just leave Thailand, apply for a tourist visa at a Thai consulate, return to Thailand. Be sure to enter the details of your tourist visa on the arrival card.
