Children returning to UK and Covid test requirements

Wondering if anyone has recently returned to UK from Thailand with young children.

According to UK Gov website children under 11 years old are not required to take a Covid test 3 days before flying.

However the 2 and 8 day tests once in UK during self isolation do not mention if children are exempt.

Has anyone any further clarity on this?

Sorry....just found answer....children under 5 do not require day 2 and 8 tests. It was under "ending quarantine "section. 

They don't make it easy!

I am looking at moving my family to the UK, with my 2 year old and 6 year old, from what I have read children under 11 are exempt.

That's the pre-departure test.  The OP was asking about the Day 2 and 8 tests which appear to be waived for those aged 4 and under.
