The AML govt department in bkk might ban foreign investors from accessing crypto exchanges in Thailand.

Featured Replies

Its in the news today that the dept of AML in bangkok located near MBK building could be planning to prevent farang from using Thai crypto exchanges. For Thais they might make it mandatory for customers to physically visit a crypto exchange to get verified as opposed to the easy online process.

'While new users can currently verify their identities with crypto exchanges by submitting documents online, the dip-chip machines will scan a chip embedded in Thai citizen ID cards, requiring customers to be physically present for the verification process. The new rules may also prevent foreign investors — who are unable to obtain Thai ID cards — from accessing exchanges in the country.'

Its quite annoying if they prevent farang living here in Thailand to buy and sell cryptos and pay tax on capital gains. Its becoming harder to live in this country....
