Thailand’s Department of Internal Trade (DIT) has urged companies producing face masks to work at full capacity, to meet a steep rise in demand since the compulsory wearing of masks outdoors came into effect.

 

DIT director-general Wattanasak Sur-iam said the new wave of COVID-19 sweeping the country has resulted in an upsurge in demand for face masks, adding that the supply of materials used for producing them remains sufficient, despite the current circumstances, and some manufacturers have reportedly scaled back production as they wait for new orders.

 

He also said that the Commerce Minister has instructed provincial commerce offices to monitor face-mask supply closely, to ensure it meets demand, and to enforce laws controlling the prices of certain items, including face masks. Those who encounter overpriced masks should contact the 1596 hotline. Violators could face a five-year jail term, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both.

This probably means there will an upsurge in recycled masks, as the DIT have signaled that there is a shortage with this statement.

Who has just eaten Lunch of Somtam with their mates.

They all enjoyed a lovely Somtam Salad C/W BBQ Chicken, and a burned Catfish, which was ripped to shreds with their hands, before stuffing it into their Pie Holes and they all returning to work on a line producing Face Masks under sterile conditions.

Oooooopppps ............ Noi forgot to wash her hands before starting the afternoon session of work.

???????????????????? first telling everybody to wear masks everywhere , outside , in the car all by yourself , in bed with your own wife , under the shower etc etc and then telling their mask producing friends to ramp up production because there are a lot of masks to be sold soon . Next they will be telling everybody to clean their hands every 5 minutes with handsanitizer alcohol spray made by their friends companies as well , now that would be the clearest example of the left hand washing the right wouldn't it ?? ????????????????
