Hello, I just arrived in Thailand and they gave me 45 days visa waiver, I’m not familiar with the new regulations. Is it possible to extend it 30 more days like before or is not possible anymore? I’ve been told by the embassy in my country that is not possible but I’m a bit skeptical.

 

 

You can apply for a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry.

Some embassies are spreading info that was changed in 2014 when 30 day extensions of visa exempt were allowed. Some show they are not allowed on their websites and only 15 days are allowed at land borders that was eliminated when the 2 per calendar year rule went into effect.
