The vaccination coverage against COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia rose to almost 23 percent or some 2,280,875 of the planned 10 million people to be vaccinated, as of May 24. The figures were shared by the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, adding that of them, 1,646,994 have already got their second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

Members of the diplomatic corps, staff of UN agencies and international organisations and their family members were among the vaccinated people. This morning, the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration and the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination launched the vaccination campaign in other three Khan – Chamkar Mon, 7 January, and Chbar Ampov – in addition to Khan Boeung Keng Kang, Khan Sensok and the Red zones.

Cambodia has set to vaccinate around 10 million people or 62 percent of the total population against COVID-19 and up to the half of 2022, more than 95 percent are expected to be inoculated.

Thailand can kiss all tourists goodbye, that's where they all go

No they won't.

Cambodia doesn't have the diversity of places to visit.

Four days, I have usually had enough. Now, if it was Vietnam, that would be a different story.

Quite a remarkable success so far, I hope they can keep it up!

True. For culture vultures there is plenty (although the fees for the national park where the temples are is expensive). But they have messed up their only beach location, Sihanookville. And while I enjoy wandering around parts of Cambodia, the driving and other issues are not for the average tourist.

Thailand has encouraged tourists here to think otherwise. The road statistics speak for themselves.

I do realise that, Sheryl. Just making the comparison to our own (unfortunate) situation.
