Significant improvements within Lazada

Featured Replies

I recently discovered two major improvements at Lazada, two topics that I regularly criticised: the refund policy related to this rather suspicious wallet and poor logistics. Today, Lazada reimburses directly, there is no longer a problem calling them on the phone. On logistics, we welcome Kerry's arrival at LEX and the use of Flash Express services instead of LEX. In the past, until now, Flash Express was mainly used for returns.

It took them a while to figure out that their greedy wallet policy wasn't that popular. The same goes for logistics, customer satisfaction has always been the key to success in business.

Yes, agreed. But not for everything, sometimes I find certain promotion items cheaper at Lazada and order there. Also, some items are sold only at one platform, not both.

That's right, but there are items that we only find on Lazada, and the price difference is still quite small. On top of that, it's easier for foreigners because Shopee is mostly in Thai. Personally, no problem, I can read Thai, but most expats don't.

Shopee there's no minimum purchase delivery vouchers, today bought something for 10 baht total, can't do that on Lazada

Google Lens, no big deal

Yes, but annoying to always have to check everything. Certain items can be ordered in different variation and you don't know where to click. As Shoppe is Singaporean the app could be better.

That sounds like a user issue, I don't have a problem with it

My Shopee app has a translate tab at the bottom of the product page, and then everything, including the reviews, are in English

It is not a common issue and it has happened for me only for certain specific items. If you have not ordered the same items you cannot have seen it.

Called Lex office the other day as they said usual couldn't deliver as couldn't contact me , which they didn't even try .

They said they gave no delivery staff in the area so need come pick up anything from Lazada at the office. I then looked at 7 recent deliveries and 6 were through Lex 🙄🙈

Other was flash and arrived as usual no problem.

The biggest issue with both Lazada and Shopee is their very poor search engines. One can input a specific device, brand, or model number and get hundreds of unrelated results. Couple that with what appears to be overloaded servers and finding what one is looking for is a major hassle.

My main issue is communications. Lazada have closed their email account altogether. I have been having an issue with activating my wallet, and on 7 August received an email with a detailed list of 10 instructions, and told to send a copy of the failure message if necessary. On 9 August the inbox was closed permanently. The issue still remains.

Foreign credit cards not accepted at Shoppe. F that.

Yes, I got caught out by that very dubious wallet. I paid for an order using QR a while back, but the order was subsequently cancelled. I waited patiently for my refund, only to discover that it had been paid into the wallet, which I never use and hadn't even registered for. I had quite a struggle to recoup my refund!

So a warning. Unless you have a working, registered wallet, don't use QR!

I noticed recently that they have now added a 'confirm delivery' box to orders placed. They ask that you check it to confirm delivery within 3 days. I wonder what happens if you don't bother. (or don't even know about it)

Ask Google to find what you want on Lazada or Shopee and give you the link. The link takes you straight to the product that you wanted.

The search engine algorithms are messed up in shopee and lazada. Google weeds it out pretty good though even expired items do show up.

I have ordered hundreds of items COD Bangkok from Lazada for almost 15 years without any problems.

Or try Google search using "buy xxx". This usually shows "xxx" linked to multiple websites (including Lazada & Shopee).

Interesting. I tried unsuccessfully a while back. Their support people told me it was not possible. Maybe they have sorted it.

What does that mean? Can I pay with a foreign card or not?

I only ever use a UK credit card(s) with both Lazada and Shoppe with no problems over either delivery or refunds!

I would never consider any other system of payment with either of them!

(The UK Section 75 Credit Card protection system covers me if there is a fraudulent transaction problem etc!)

I order a lot from both companies and every order prepaid with either QR code and local bank account or local credit card. In all that years I had only a handful fraud deliveries or empty packages which were videotaped when opening the package. In all problem cases I have received a refund within hours or within days in case I had to return items.

shopeePay is a digital wallet, just use your credit card
