Is Social Security sending the "Are you alive ?" Letter or the Representative Payee Report (for a dependent child) this year? I know it was suspended last year. Any info as to the current status?

No info yet as to whether the 7161 or 7162 forms will be sent this year. I have not gotten one yet.

Two years in a row would really be something.

Why can't they just offer some kind of online alternative?

Like a video call or something where you show your passport?

I completed a blank 7162 last year and emailed it to Manila as per their instructions in the early days of not getting them last year

But it turned out that wasn't necessary.

Still relied on postal systems.

I'm suggesting they modernize the options.

Oh, sorry. Missed that.

But again that was done as an instruction when the normal mails didn't work (and indeed the requirement was suspended for all).

My point again is why no just have a default online all the time? It could be online form like FBAR for example. 

So the letter for 2021 was not sent ?
