Hi - sorry this is probably an easy question to answer for someone - but for me ???

I am running out of pages in my passport. Time to get a new one soon. I currently have a non immigrant o visa. If I get a new passport do I also need to go get a new visa? or is there some way to transfer the visa or keep using it or otherwise

Thanks

Paul

The visa (obtained at an Embassy or Consulate out of Thailand) will not be transferred into the new passport.

An etxtension of stay stamp and a re-entry stamp will

It has been reported that by presenting both passports for travel there should be no problems.

So just checking: what action do I need to take?

I go get my new passport, then... do I need to go to a Thai embassy overseas and get that anything written down or any paperwork; or do I just turn up at immigration at the airport next time with both passports and then get the stamp done then?

Thanks again

Once you have the new passport, go to your local immigration office.

They will transfer your current entry stamp.

If the visa is multi-entry you should still be able to use the old visa on your next entry,

just quote the old visa number on the form and present both passports.

If you are on a one year extension and wish to travel you will need to apply for a new re-entry permit.
