Michael Reeder
Hi, I plan to go to Thailand early November 2021. My question is: Can I extend my 30 day Visa Exemption (currently 45 days) for another 30 days in the same year meaning a total of 60 days? AND can I then apply for 30 more days in January and 30 days in February because it's a new year meaning another 60 days to my trip? Totalling 120 days? Thanks Michael. Popular Post BritTim
You get only one regular 30-day extension of your visa exempt entry. Regardless of timing, there are no further 30-day extensions. You could get a fresh visa exempt entry by exiting Thailand and returning. At the current time, there are special 60-day "Covid" extensions, but those will end at some stage. Trying to predict your options as of the beginning of next year requires the assistance of Nostradamus. 1 1
ubonjoe
Only one 30 day extension is allowed for a visa exempt entry. You seem to mixing up the 2 per calendar year limit for visa exempt entries at land border crossings to get a new visa exempt entries with a 30 day extension. The only way to get a more time is to leave and re-enter the country for new visa exempt entry that is not an easy thing to do at this time. As said at this time their are 60 day covid 19 extensions available that ends on September 27th. Whether another extension of the order for them will be done is unknown at this time.
