More houses donated to veterans in Pursat province

The second wave of 628 houses promised have been donated with another 250 handed over in Bun Rany Sen Chey Damnak Troyeung village, Prongil commune, Pursat province. They were donated by Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk who is the honorary president of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) and Bun Rany, president of the CRC.

 

They were gifted to injured and poor veterans on August 15,  in the presence of Men Neary Sopheak, a representative of Bun Rany. Bun Rany Sen Chey Damnak Troyeung village is  2 km  wide by 4 km long which is about 900 hectares and each family received 70m x 150m of land for cultivation.

 

“Bun Rany Sen Chey Damnak Troyeung village was created in February, 2021 and its name was given by the veteran families in the village to honour Bun Rany and Prime Minister  Hun Sen”, Neary Sopheak told Khmer Times yesterday.
