Moving To Chiangmai Next Year To Live

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I will move next year to Chiangmai with my wife and my two children.

I am Swiss, my wife and the children have the both nationality.

As we will probably buy a house, is it usefull for my wife to declare her new swiss nationality or it may do some problem to buy land & house under her name?

Thank you in advance.

Totoche

The new policy is that wife will have to say the money belongs to her (so the home will not be joint marriage property) and you may be asked to sign that you understand land can not be inherited by you. No other restrictions.

There is no need to declare any nationality. She is Thai and should enter Thailand on her Thai passport.
