webfact
Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, former strategy chief of Pheu Thai Party and now leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party, has met with Thai born US senator Tammy Duckworth (D) in Washington D.C. to discuss cooperation between the two countries in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Senator Duckworth expressed concern over the COVID-19 situation in Thailand and wants to persuade the Biden administration to donate more vaccines. So far, the US has donated 2.5 million doses of Pfizer to Thailand, 1.5 million of which have already been delivered. Senator Duckworth also said that the US government is ready to deliver the remaining one million doses, but the Thai government has not yet returned the required response document. Popular Post Pib
The response doc probably requires Thailand to check a Yes I want the free vaccine with no strings attached" or "No I don't want the free vaccine" box. And then a signature (or thumb print). That is pretty hard...expect Thailand will need to appoint a committee to do a 90 day evaluation of the offer. But maybe the holdup is the U.S. sent the offer in English and the Thai govt is still trying to get a certified copy in Thai. Popular Post chalawaan
The Senator is waiting for Khunying S. to provide a hand-drawn map to Bangkok from DC. And a letter from the Bank of Thailand, the Governments bankbook, photocopies of the bankbook, the photocopies must be signed in BLUE ink, and a photo of all 250 senators glued to the back of the application. And her email address, but they'll never email her, she'll have to read the news every day to keep up with any changes to the US requirements. Seems fair and sensible to me! 1 4

Sydebolle
It is this "throw dirty <deleted> at each other" time again; Anutin denies something while the Khunying is shoulder rubbing with a Thai born senator in the US. Masks are not necessary and the same might apply to the mandatory quarantine ...... I sometimes wonder, if these Thai political clowns are aware of how non-united and uncoordinated they act putting a seriously ridiculous light on Thailand and its people? Latter deserve better than a Khunying scraping for any photo-op there is ..........

AwwYesNice1
Really shows Thailand's allegiance with China when they're not even accepting FREE mRNA vaccines from USA. Indonesia has been gifted 8 million doses from USA, Thailand would be lined up to receive the same amount, if they weren't so bloody stupid and incompetent.
