I  thought the e-visa process was to get a sticker and give to immigration upon arrival, However after reading it appears you still need to mail your passport and supporting docs to your local USA Thai embassy consulate?  What is the purpose of the E-visa process for?

Am I reading correct that in order for you to get your visa you have to provide proof of air travel? However after getting your visa and applying for your COE that it states that you should buy your air ticket after your COE has been pre- approved?? Thank you

See my edited post.

You need the visa uploaded to get final approval of the COE.

You get the pre approval before you apply for the visa.
