Thailand Public Holidays

Featured Replies

What are the public holidays and observed days this week?  When are banks and government offices closed?

Should be easy right?  Check the internet.  Trouble is I am getting a variety of different answers; not helped by my Outlook calendar is definitely out of kilter. Does anyone have the definitive answer?

Thanks

Just in case people need to know. There is no ban on the sale of alcohol by law for this public holiday on the 22ns October.

Every day is a holiday in the Land of Smiles ☺️☺️☺️

Thursday and Friday are holidays.

Are you quite sure about that?

Different holiday. 21st in that post is a Buddha Day so no drink forecast.

Ah yes, got it now. The Buddha day, Awk Phansa, isn't actually a holiday. It's a holy day. ????

Exactly. Although an important Bhuddhist holiday, it's not a public holiday.

It's a full moon holiday with varying dates.

Fr 22 is substitute for Sat 23 (Chulalongkorn day). Completely unrelated, fixed date.

This refers to the 21st and not the 22nd

To add some complication. The 21st (tommorow) will be a public holiday in "central Thailand"/"central region". Don't ask me for a precise list.
