I am trying to erase some data shown on a PDF file. I have clicked on the erase symbol at the top of the page and dragged over the desired area with no affect.

Any ideas?

 

You need a PDF editor to edit or amend PDF files.

There's some free PDF editors available on line, or you can subscribe to the original via Adobe.

When I checked the ones that said they were free, it said a free 7 day trial and then you pay. From my experience with these free trials once you have given them your bank details it is then very difficult to cancel your subscription. Do you know one that is really free with no need to pass on your bank info.

Do you know why the erase feature at the top of the PDF file doesn't work?

 

Depends what you want to edit ....I used paint... worked for me

Guess the OP wants to edit and save the file in PDF format and not work on a screenshot/picture.

Or how do you open a PDF with paint/paintbrush or the like?

I wish to remove an address on a document and type in a new one. I cannot find ERASE on the EDIT PDF tool I used.
