June 4, 200719 yr Simple question re the filter screens found inside the wall-mounted units...can they be washed and reused or do they have to be replaced with new ones? I take them out and wash them every 3-4 months and pop them back in. Can this be done indefinitely? Thanks.

June 4, 200719 yr My unit has a little red light that comes on after a certain number of hours, warning me to clean the filters. Without that every 2-3 months should be fine.
June 5, 200719 yr I cleaned them by banging them on the wall outside. Don't do that. They break, and then it took forever to source replacements (Daikin). So that's one more reason to never want Daikin again (they also suck generally. Only Mitsubishi from now on.
