Bubba77
Hi there Can anyone tell me, or find out what has happend to the Samui Laguna Resort, in Lamai, Samui. We have stayed there numerous times, the last being 2019, has it closed down? Has it been taken over?? any help what so ever with this would be amazing. Stay safe. sezze
I don't know , been 10y since i was in Lamai . But you better ask this question again in the Koh Samui section . As far as i heard , Lamai is pretty much dead as a dodo, but there's still people living there .

khunPer
If it's the one next to the Pavilion Resort, it seems to be closed - Google Maps says "permanently closed" - or under reconstruction, just as like Pavilion. This is how it looked last time I snapped a photo; however it's a year ago now, i.e. 10th October 2020...

But neither is fully recovered from the tumbleweed / ghost town stage of 2020. But Laguna shows no life. 1

cheapcanuck
It was under renovation at the start of covid. It appears that all work has stopped. The whole beach side of hotel was demolished and the rooms gutted. So best to look for another hotel for you next visit to Lamui.
