neytil
Scenario: After several months away, return to Thailand 1 week before retirement extension due date. No time to look for new apartment, so would be in a serviced apartment or hotel. Assuming the hotel files TM30, would an extension be possible. (leaving aside any Test and Go, ASQ changes or assumptions for now) Thank you for any advice.
ubonjoe
That may accept it since you just entered the country after a long period of time outside the country.

Thank you very much. Any recommendations for hotels either near Bangkok CW or Pattaya from anyone? Not sure which it could be yet......

BritTim
In Bangkok, they have been known to accept the explanation that you are staying in a hotel temporarily while looking for a long term rental. There have been reports that some immigration offices will resolutely refuse a one-year extension until you can show a long term rental agreement or similar.
Popular Post JackGats
I dud my last extension with a hotel letter in lieu of rental agreement. It was LK Empress on Beach Road. Note that I was renewing through an agent. 2

Wake Up
In October 2021 my friend got an Non O at CW and then a one year extension of stay. His previous extension of stay expired when he was out of Thailand due to Covid. He lives at a Bangkok Marriott hotel only and does not rent condos. Before 2020 he did his extensions of stay at Udon Thani and stayed only in hotels up north for about 10 years.
daejung
Hello, I had 2 extensions of stay and always gave the adress of an apartment hotel, without any problem. Immigration didn't ask me anything about it.
IAMHERE
In 2015 I extended mine while stayinig at Grand Residence on second road Jomtien. They did give me a copy of the TM30 and a lease of 6 months with understanding that I could vacate at any time.
