jimgilly
Started following the PM2.5 pollution levels in Roi Et and found they were terrible - actually worse than Chiang Mai. If this pattern holds then from November through April you can expect unsafe levels which is half the year. I wonder how many else are aware of this as I consider it to be a major problem for anyone living here or thinking to move to this area. 1
michael888
It's horrible everywhere in Thailand. And yes, it is 6 months a year now, gets worse every year. From agri burning of sugar cane and rice fields. All because farmers, CP, and other corporations dont want to change their methods for preparing and harvesting. The whole air eco system is absolutley destroyed. But dont worry, theyve launched a "haze" website and police in Bangkok are rubbing white gloved hands on random tailpipes.
