Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression (CCF) inspectors in Poipet City torched more than six tons of confiscated products, including counterfeit alcohol.

The event was held on December 22 and was overseen by authorities from Poipet City's Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Branch.

San Vichea Saravuth, the CCF Branch Director, indicated that the branch and its officers began the crackdown in accordance with the Minister of Commerce's instructions and the General Department's procedures. The officers worked with relevant officials in the crackdown, according to Branch Director Saravuth.

According to the Branch Director, officers seized 6,405 kg of food, beer, and other beverages in the first six months. He went on to say that the confiscated things were burned.

Legal charges against business owners who sold defective items have been sent to the provincial court for legal action, according to the Branch Director. For unethical business methods, a petrol station owner has been summoned to court.
