MANILA, Philippines — No typhoons are expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next five days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said yesterday.

 

However, the northeast monsoon or amihan will continue to affect the country and bring cloudy skies with rains in various parts of the country, especially in Luzon.

 

In a 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Bicol region, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora and Quezon province may experience cloudy skies with rains. It warned that this may result in possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
