Naew Na reported on the inspection visit of DPM and Thai health minister Anutin Charnvirakul to Nan airport in the far north of Thailand.

The airport is offering a convenient vaccine service as well as ATK testing for tourists.

Anutin had a test himself and after the uncomfortable procedure quipped that the tester was getting their own back on him.

Three hundred people got their Pfizer boosters during his visit with the minister saying that it was more convenient for tourists to do this on their travels than in Bangkok.

It was easy to do and less time consuming than in the Thai capital, he noted.

Such facilities are being rolled out elsewhere - such as at Chiang Mai airport - in an effort to get as many people jabbed as possible in Thailand.

Anutin urged everyone to get a booster when they are eligible - usually three months after their second dose.

Somebody of Anutin's reputation deserves better -  maybe the Chinese accolade:

"Chinese state-linked media outlet Global Times reported in January 2021 that while most people were swabbed via nose or throat swabs, authorities used anal swabs for "key groups" of people sent to quarantine centers to increase the accuracy of the test."
