Thai authorities in Mukhdahan in Thailand's north eastern region announce the arrest of a 56 year old man driving a container truck.

 

Arrested was Sriwasuwan, the driver.

 

He was transporting 24 tons of frozen pork illegally from Laos.

 

The meat - worth 6 million baht - did not have the required documentation and will be destroyed following the seizure Saturday, reported Daily News.

agree, a crying shame. But in this case maybe better, see the container, it is not a cooled one.

I wonder how its going to be destroyed. If they find a way of still using it somehow or not.

 

Yesterday i saw on tv. In South America and Africa there are places where they dump clothes !

Brand new, not just one or two but TONS of clothes, like 3 to 4 meters high piles and growing.

Over production of clothes as people "need" new clothes every month. And with online selling,

lots of it goes back to seller, which cant do anything with it again and it rolls up at companies who 

take care of dispossal.

 

Saw in a docu of farmers in America, growing strawberries, but a lot of farmers did.

So overflow on strawberries , low pricing and farmers leaving there crops to rot, because it was more economical then to harvest and sell. They would have to pay money then for their crops, negative income. And Americans thinks big, so they are really big fields of it.

 

And then we are only talking about durable growing and using of raw materials. Yah right, it is still capitalisme and no one gives a damn.

Was on the news this morning, they buried it in a field.

I would have thought that it would have been tested and given to people with welfare cards.

In the UK pick your own strawberries is big business, doesn't cost the farmer anything to harvest. Sounds better to me than trashing them all...

Interesting. The borders are closed and if we believe the circus directors in Bangkok they are closed airtight. So question is - who is driving the trucks as 24 tons of cargo in one truck on the bridge?

Whatever, it is a lot of "oink, oink, oink" and no surprised here, Thais are used to bend and break any law, rules or suggestion for the sake of personal benefit and greed!

Although the borders are closed to most of us, trade continues between Laos and Thailand. Just the other day it was reported that a large consignment of Thai rice was being shipped to China via Laos and the new high speed train.
